The mission of the Somers Partners in Prevention is to build a safer community by efficiently addressing alcohol and drug use, as well as other risk taking behaviors through advocacy, hope and awareness.  We are a community alliance to help our youth stay alcohol and drug free.  There is an increase in the use of opiates, narcotics, prescription medications, cocaine and heroin according to educators and substance abuse counselors among adolescents and young adults.  This website will give you tips on what to look for if you suspect someone may be using drugs.  Communication is key with your family members on prevention and education with regard to the negative effect drugs can have on one's life.
