The Historic Properties Board oversees the maintenance and repairs of the Wright-Reis Homestead, Mt. Zion Church and Cemetery, Tomahawk Chapel and Cemetery as well as the Town Hall, Elephant Hotel and the Annex, Old Bet House.   The board meets quarterly at the Town House (Elephant Hotel) on the fourth Thursday of the month.
